Funding Available for Medi-Cal Recertification Outreach and Education

2-1-1 San Diego has contracted with the County of San Diego’s Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to provide information and assistance for Medi-Cal Recertifications, also known as renewals.

As such, 2-1-1 San Diego will partner with a select number of nonprofit organizations to provide education to a targeted population about how to renew their Medi-Cal coverage and how to access additional assistance.

Funds will be distributed in ranges of $5,000 to $25,000 to provide outreach, education, and assistance around Medi-Cal Recertification. Awards will be determined with the goal of achieving diversity in target populations, geographic targeting, ranges of dollar amounts, and experience in outreaching to Medi-Cal eligible populations.

Please know that due to limited dollars available not all partners will be funded. Those organizations interested in responding to the Notice of Funding Available (NOFA) are encouraged to attend a Pre-Proposal Conference on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 10:00AM to learn more about the program and ask questions. The Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at the 2-1-1 San Diego Office located at 5251 Viewridge Court, Suite 130, San Diego, CA 92123. Parking is available in the 2-1-1 lot, on the street, or in the SKF lot at the end of the cul de sac—you may park in any unmarked space there.
