National Alliance on Mental Illness - North Coastal

The National Alliance on Mental Illness – North Coastal (NAMI North Coastal) became a recognized Live Well San Diego partner on May 10, 2016. NAMI North Coastal is a charitable organization created in 1983 and run by volunteers to provide education, support, and advocacy for families, friends, and those who suffer with brain disorders such as schizophrenia, biopolar disorder, clinical depression, and others.  Currently NAMI North Coastal has approximately 200 members in North County.  

NAMI North Coastal supports the Live Well San Diego vision of healthy, safe and thriving communities by working in partnership with the Board of Supervisors, HHSA, County Mental Health, local providers, consumers, family members and others to improve mental health services in North County.
