The San Diego Padres became a Live Well San Diego Recognized Partner on September 20, 2017. The Padres, San Diego’s Major League Baseball team, have a storied past of supporting initiatives that align with the Live Well San Diego vision of building better health, living safely and thriving.

Throughout their time in San Diego, the Padres have been avid supporters of how their fans’ Live, Learn, Play and Serve. The Padres support the how San Diegans live by helping to raise awareness of stroke, breast cancer and prostate cancer. When it comes to supporting how San Diegans learn, the Padres host games honoring exceptional San Diego County school teachers at Petco Park. Through the Play Ball initiative, the team ensures that youth are able to play baseball and softball regardless of who they are, where they live, or if they play in an organized league.

San Diego County is home to one of the largest military affiliated community in the country. The San Diego Padres recognize and honor the brave men and women who serve their country by hosting several regular season games in honor of the many branches of the military and first responders.
