Vista Chamber of Commerce joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on January 17, 2017. As a key business leader in North County, the Vista Chamber of Commerce understands that employers play a key role in the health and safety of individuals, families, and communities which leads to happier and more productive employees resulting in significant savings to taxpayers.
The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee serves a valuable resource for the business community on healthcare issues, pertinent health legislation and the impact of healthcare on business. Through their efforts, the Chamber is promoting health and education and enhancing economic growth opportunities in San Diego County.
Through their activities such as the Strawberry Festival Run, the Vista Chamber of Commerce provides an opportunity for local families and residents, members of the military and its member businesses to engage in a healthy event within the Vista community. The Chamber honors local area high school seniors through its Rising Star of the Month program and in 2016 awarded $10,000 in scholarships to deserving students.
Business retention in Vista is a key mission of the Vista Chamber of Commerce and essential for a thriving community. In September 2016, the Chamber partnered with the City of Vista in the Vista Cares Business Walk and visited 200 businesses in the Vista Business Park to help identify any issues they may be facing to support the local economy.
The Vista Chamber of Commerce is fully committed to the Live Well San Diego vision and supports a thriving community by offering services to members and the public that align with health, safety and improved overall well-being.
