The WD-40 Company joined Live Well San Diego as a recognized partner on September 16, 2016. Established in San Diego in 1953, the WD-40 Company is a global marketing organization dedicated to creating positive lasting memories by developing and selling products which solve problems in workshops, factories and homes in more than 176 countries around the world.
The WD-40 Company is committed to the health and well-being of its employees and San Diego residents. It’s their mission to “empower people to become self-reliant using our time, talent and treasure to help put charities out of business.”
The WD-40 Company has established a ‘tribal culture’, a self-sustaining place where its employees want to stay and grow through meaningful work, evolving norms, teamwork, community learning and a strong sense of accountability. Additionally, the WD-40 Company operates its “Fortress of Health” program, run by volunteer employees and funded through cost reductions in their healthcare service programs.
The WD-40 Company provides thousands of dollars annually to charitable organizations within communities where their employees live, and its employees routinely volunteer their time and energy to local organizations that promote better quality of life, safe communities and entrepreneurial growth. The WD-40 Company Foundation’s new grant making program is designed to build self-reliance among San Diego County residents, promote a thriving and prosperous community, and create an environment where people can flourish and reach their full potential.
