East County Intergenerational Council

The East County Intergenerational Council was founded in 2013 and focuses on the collective role that youth and older adults can play in making our community healthy for all ages. Intergenerational efforts to address health issues are a key component of the Live Well San Diego vision. The Council serves as an avenue to promote and encourage intergenerational strategies in senior and youth programs, discuss new solutions to improve health and wellness across the generations and prioritize key projects and priority issues for East County. Organizations and individuals who are interested in creating a community where residents of all ages have the highest quality of life are invited to join the conversation and attend our bi-monthly council meetings.

Bi-monthly meetings feature:

  • Informational presentations
  • Trainings
  • Networking
  • Resource sharing

Please note: Meetings are currently on hold due to COVID-19. Once we resume meetings, they will be held on the first Wednesday every other month (Feb, Apr, June, Aug, Oct, Dec) from 2:00 PM-3:30 PM at the La Mesa Adult Enrichment Center (8450 La Mesa Blvd, La Mesa, CA 91942).
