North County Intergenerational Council

The North County Intergenerational Council was founded in January 2013 and focuses on the role youth and older adults can play in making our community healthy for all ages. Intergenerational strategies are a key component in the North County Community Leadership Team’s Community Health Improvement Plan. The Council serves as an avenue to promote and encourage intergenerational strategies in senior and youth programs, discuss new solutions and programs to improve health and wellness across the generations and prioritize key projects and priority issues for North County.

Bi-monthly meetings feature:

  • Informational presentations
  • Trainings
  • Networking
  • Resource sharing

Please note: Meetings are currently on hold due to COVID-19. Once we resume meetings, they will be held on the second Wednesday every other month (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov) from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM, typically at the North Inland Live Well Center in Escondido.

For more information or to join the e-mail list, contact Sarah Garlejo at 760-703-9924.
