Colleen Cook works as the Aging Specialist on the Alzheimer’s Disease
Initiative (funded by the Administration for Community Living) at
Jewish Family Service of San Diego. She collaborates with community
members, family care partners, and persons living with Alzheimer’s
disease and related dementia to connect families with needed
resources. She also facilitates family care partner support groups
with Alzheimer’s San Diego.
Since 2008, Colleen has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Family Sciences at Point Loma Nazarene University.
Rachel Lehnert is the Program Coordinator for the Aging & Wellness Department at Jewish Family Service. She has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University and a professional background in tourism & hospitality. Currently, she oversees the administrative functions of the JFS Alzheimer’s Disease Initiative Program. She coordinates "Out & About" dementia-friendly excursions and personalized in-home music therapy called "Music & Memory".
Meredith Morgenroth was key to the development of the JFS Alzheimer’s
Disease Initiative. Her background includes supervising eldercare
services, transportation, logistics, operational management, and
ensuring excellent customer service. As a native San Diegan, she has
in-depth knowledge of the community and resources for older adults.
