Enjoy Arts & Culture

Dance is a beautiful form of artistic expression that immerses both the performer and the audience in a shared experience. Going to live theater is magical.

San Diego Civic Dance Arts is a volunteer-driven nonprofit, dedicating over 20,000 hours annually to support the City of San Diego's Civic Dance Arts program, while raising $130,000 yearly to fund performances, scholarships, financial aid, and specialty training, ensuring inclusive opportunities for dancers and teachers of all levels.

San Diego Civic Dance Arts has their upcoming Collage 2025: Tapestry dance performances at the historic Casa del Prado Theater in Balboa Park. In support of the Live Well San Diego vision, SDCDA is offering free tickets to their upcoming shows.

Our dancers have trained all year with professional choreographers from around the nation to deliver a show that engages your heart and imagination. Once you see the show, you may want to take a dance class yourself!

"We all have different stories and experiences and when we dance together, they all combine to make one amazing picture,” said Hazel, 2nd year Company dancer.

"[Dance is] a beautiful, layered medley. Collage 2025 brings together people of all ages to create such a uniquely complex performance," said Cara, 11th year Young Adult Ensemble dancer.
