Calling All Artists!

We are looking for original poster artwork that is visually impactful and celebrates the 2024 Live Well Advance theme “Ripples of Change: The Power of Partnerships.” Top entries will be selected for display at the conference and featured on our social media! Entries must be submitted by October 20, 2024.

Community Health and Wellness Clinics

The Live WoW is on the move! Get FREE health screenings, vaccines, and more, from the County of San Diego and UCSD School of Pharmacy! Their Community Health and Wellness Clinics will be held at the Spring Valley Library on October 31 from 3-6pm.

Suicide Prevention Awareness

A new Suicide Prevention Awareness Month Toolkit is available to foster hope and action in destigmatizing conversations about suicide. The toolkit includes a calendar of community-based activities, trainings, shareable content, and virtual backgrounds.

October Hike-A-Thon

County Parks and Recreation is hitting the trails with Nature Unplugged for their annual Hike-A-Thon. Walk outside, log steps and join them for a Kick-Off event on September 28 and four ranger-led hikes on Saturdays, October 5 – 26.

National Immunization Awareness Month

August was National Immunization Awareness Month (#NIAM) and August 4-10 was California HPV Vaccine Week. Find new tools, resources and materials to learn and help spread the word on the critical role vaccinations have in protecting our health and the health of the community.

Protecting Youth from Human Trafficking

A new media campaign will be shared across the county to raise awareness about human trafficking and inform children, youth and their peers on how to protect themselves.
