Live Well @ Work, a workplace wellness program provided by the County of San Diego, recently partnered with TCWGlobal, a local company specializing in human resources and staffing, to support their employee wellness campaign, “Wellness Palooza.”
Live Well @ Work usually partners with organizations at the early stages of developing a wellness program, but they recently had an opportunity to work with TCWGlobal, who is already a leader in worksite wellness.
Prior to working with Live Well @ Work, TCWGlobal recognized the importance of holistic health and well-being in fostering a thriving work environment and annually dedicates a month to their “Wellness Palooza” campaign.
A core feature of the program is a team competition, where employees form groups to compete in health and wellness challenges that include group hikes and community fundraisers that involve physical activity, such as 5K runs. These activities promote fitness, provide an opportunity for colleagues to connect outside the workplace, and foster a sense of community and commitment to societal well-being.
Their program is a shining example of an effective wellness program that improves employee engagement, well-being, culture, and their bottom line.
Although their Wellness Palooza program is a success, TCWGlobal was looking to further enhance their overall wellness program and wanted to identify any existing gaps and make improvements. To do so, they turned to the Live Well @ Work Healthy Workplace Accelerator Program.
TCWGlobal enrolled in the program and completed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Worksite Health Score Card to better understand what policy, systems, or environmental changes were missing from their overall wellness strategy.
Based on their score, TCWGlobal received a recognition badge declaring their organization a wellness “Leader.” However, the assessment showed that there was still more that could be done to enhance their program, including the addition of more employee health education opportunities throughout the year.
Live Well @ Work recently partnered with Strive Well-Being to provide program participants with health-related webinars, such as healthy cooking demos and talks on health-related topics such as stress management, ergonomics, physical activity, and nutrition.
TCWGlobal incorporated the Strive Well-Being classes into their program and are seeing success.
TCWGlobal is a leader in worksite wellness and community engagement. Their partnership with Live Well @ Work demonstrates their commitment to a healthy, safe, and thriving region.
